Overlooking colourful Darling Harbor, on the edge of Sydney's bustling central business district, the Sheraton Four Points implemented Tridium's Niagara Framework and MWebCentral FM application to support it's internal operations, reduce energy & running costs and to improve guest comfort and services. Significant, documented, energy savings of 11%+ were achieved, despite 24/7 operation. Guest complaints about A/C dropped from No.1 to No. 9.
The hotel is just a short walk away from an array of entertainment venues and shopping areas. As Australia's largest contemporary hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Sydney offers an extensive range of facilities with 643 rooms, 47 of which are suites.
In order to achieve their cost reduction goals, Sheraton Four Points required a system that is web portal based, with thin client browser access with intergation to their Fidelio guest management system, lighting systems, paging systems and intelligent guest room control systems. In addition, a seamless interface was required for a corporate web based Maintenance Management system and Help desk.
Sheraton Four Points also chose Tridium’s E2 Energy Profiler and Cost Profiler software. These applications profile energy and utility usage, check meter readings and provide a link via the main FM portal to the Tridium Tenant Billing module.
All systems had to be capable of being interfaced to the Starwood Financial systems and Oracle 10 database. Finally, Sheraton Four Points management were concerned about the potential obsolesce of Legacy Building Control Systems and the possibility of being ‘locked-in’ to just one supplier. Instead they now have an open, IT based architecture, which guarantees the longevity of their building control systems, assets and business related processes.
“We are very pleased with the final solution that has been provided by Tridium. It is the first time that we have seen a truly complete web based enterprise FM solution. The MWebCentral FM suite is very flexible and the cornerstone of our automation to continually be in sync with improving efficiencies, returns and total customer satisfaction.”
