Niagara for Developers


Niagara AX has been designed from the beginning as a software framework that can be easily developed further by our partners. Unlike other controls automation companies that prevent access to their core software, Tridium encourages partners how have programming skills to create new features and applications on the Niagara AX Framework.


 

OEMs can customise Niagara to create their own version with additional drivers & other components, wizards to simplify configuration, and custom engineering tools.

Tridium releases APIs (Application Program Interface) for all aspects of the Framework to development partners:

  • Java developers can replace or add to core features of the Framework
  • Drivers and extra applications can be easily created using the Driver Framework
  • New types of user interface can be created
  • Whole new applications can be created based on NiagaraAX
  • De-skilled appliances can be easily created using the Generic Appliance Framework


Developer partners have access to dedicated training courses in the UK and USA plus support from Tridium’s main development team.
